Geologic Wall

This project was done in conjunction with, though is separate from, the Richmond MARSH concept. It is also located in Richmond, California.

This concept zoomed in to a smaller scale and considered what would happen if we erased the dominant feature of the landscape: the Historic Ford Motor Plant.

The space could be transformed into a valley-like depression, where the geology is revealed and trails exist along the upper edges and below in a constructed park. A waterfall could connect the top layer to the bottom. Boating tourists would also have a vantage point into the site.

The studio was taught by Richard Hindle, Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley, and Roderick Wyllie, Partner at Surfacedesign, Inc. in San Francisco.
